The Foundation welcomes requests throughout the year. However, in order to be considered at the next Board meeting, complete proposals must be submitted by March 1 for the Summer meeting and September 1 for the Winter meeting. The Foundation asks applicants to comply with the following schedule:
For Colorado grant seekers
Deadline: March 1 if you were last awarded a grant between January and June.
Deadline: September 1 if you were last awarded a grant betwen July and December.
For Idaho grant seekers through the Deer Creek Fund
Deadline: March 1 for consideration at the June meeting.
For Oregon grant seekers (application by invitation only)
Deadline: September 1 for consideration at the December meeting.
Due to the large volume of requests that the Foundation receives, it is helpful to receive proposals prior to the specific deadlines.
The Foundation will consider one letter or proposal per organization per twelve-month period.
Preliminary Letter
In 2012, the Foundation will use a new online process. The online Preliminary Letter process will be available from this website on January 17, 2012.
Organizations not previously funded by the Foundation may submit a preliminary letter through the online format. The letter is reviewed by the Trustees at their next regular meeting. If the Trustees wish to see a full proposal, information will be sent to the applicant outlining procedures and timing.
Previously Funded Applicants
In 2012, the Foundation will use a new online process. The online application process will be available from this website on January 17, 2012.
The Full Proposal Guidelines are very similar to the process used in the past. Applicant organizations will be asked to complete information fields, narrative boxes and upload attachments to fulfill application requirements.
Reporting
The Final Report form needs to be submitted at the end of the one-year grant period or with your next grant application. Please note there are two report forms – one for general support and one for program support. Please download and complete the form to include with your proposal. You may re-type the questions, but please limit the report to two pages. The second page must be signed and dated by the organization executive.
