The Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation is ceasing operations as of June 30, 2016 after nearly seven decades and four generations of supporting Colorado nonprofit organizations. The Johnson family legacy of giving began with Helen and Arthur Johnson in 1948 and will continue with their great grandchildren via two smaller foundations. The new foundations are developing guidelines, structure and priorities. Both foundations will start with an invitation only grant application process. The Johnson Foundation of the Rockies, one of the new foundations, is a Colorado corporation based in Denver, Colorado. The other new foundation, the Johnson Charitable Trust, is an Oregon corporation based in Portland, Oregon.
Once again, the Board of Trustees of the Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation is grateful for so many wonderful partnerships over the years, and for all of the work you have done to keep the Rocky Mountain region strong.
